1. Introduction

GridKnock ("we," "us," or "our") operates gridknock.com and the GridKnock platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using GridKnock you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and phone number provided at signup or through the billing flow
• Usage data: reports run, addresses looked up, commands used, and timestamps of activity within the platform
• Payment information: billing is processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers, CVVs, or full payment details on our servers
• Energy data: interval usage data retrieved on behalf of the rep, with homeowner consent obtained at the door by the rep
• Communications: emails and Discord messages sent through or to the platform for support and community purposes

3. How We Use Your Information

• To generate and deliver Energy Intelligence Reports to the requesting rep
• To process subscription payments and manage billing via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (report delivery, account notices, billing receipts)
• To operate the GridKnock Discord community and related bot services
• To improve the platform, troubleshoot issues, and monitor service health

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Energy Data and Homeowner Privacy

GridKnock is a tool for licensed solar sales representatives. Reports are generated only after the rep has obtained the homeowner's verbal consent at the door. GridKnock does not independently contact homeowners.

• Energy usage data is stored temporarily — up to 90 days — to serve the report link, then purged from our systems
• No homeowner accounts are created or linked in GridKnock's systems
• Homeowners may request deletion of any report data referencing their address by emailing support@gridknock.com
• GridKnock is a platform for sales professionals — it is not a direct consumer product

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the platform:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and security
• Discord — community platform for GridKnock members

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any other third party.

6. Data Retention

• Report data: 90 days from generation, then automatically purged
• Account data: retained while your subscription is active; deleted within 30 days of cancellation upon request
• Payment records: retained as required by applicable law (7 years for financial records)

7. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at support@gridknock.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. SMS Communications

If you opt in to SMS notifications from GridKnock, message frequency varies based on your activity and account alerts. Standard message and data rates may apply.

• Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS at any time
• Reply HELP for assistance
• We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes

9. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for session management only. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels beyond what Cloudflare sets for security and performance purposes. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; some platform features may not function correctly if you do so.

10. Children's Privacy

GridKnock is designed for use by licensed solar sales professionals and is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@gridknock.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email of any material changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of GridKnock after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
